My name is Barbara and I have lived in Emberton for 40 years with my husband and three children. Although Absent Friends was established in 1994, I have been running it as a small family business since 2001 - possibly the first business of its type in this area.

Absent Friends offers a pet sitting and home visiting service to take care of your pets, plants and home while you are away, whether it be for a day, weekend or holiday.

I believe a system of home care for pets works the best as it allows each animal to stay in its own natural and comforting environment while you are away. I endeavour to carry on your daily routine as near as possible, therefore the sevice I offer is tailor-made to your specific requirements.

Over the years I have built up a large base of loyal and appreciative clients who praise me for being observant and conscientious in their homes. Many compliment me saying how happy and content their pets are on their return. Nothing is too much trouble and I pride myself with being thorough.
